Offsite Post-Production Freelance Information
All Media will come through JPL, and will arrive either on a drive or through a link. Obviously, each person has their own preference for how project media is organized. Initially, JPL will provide two folders when the media is distributed. The first one, labeled “Provided Assets”, will contain all materials for the project work. The structure will be as follows, and is pretty self-explanatory:
- Audio
- Mixes
- Music
- Speech
- Fonts
- Graphics
- Static Graphics
- Reference material (such as brand standards)
- Video
- Audio
The other folder will be labeled “Created Assets”, and this is the one we are concerned with (and will be returned to us). The only items returned in this folder should be your project file(s) (Premiere, AfterEffects, etc.) and any assets that have been created or modified during the post-production process (rendered pre-comps, photoshop modifications, downloaded stock comps, etc.). If we didn’t provide it to you, then we need it sent back with the project file.
